How we handle the information you share with us through this website.
This is the website for LEEF. We keep things simple. We collect the details you choose to send us through our forms, and we use them to reply and to help you take the next step. We never sell them. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and this site uses Meta's pixel to see whether those ads work, as explained below.
When you use one of our forms (our contact form, Want LEEF in Your City, or Become a LEEF Practitioner, or a LEEF House application), we collect the details you enter, which may include your name, email address, phone number, city and country, Instagram handle, details about your practice, a short video of yourself if you apply for LEEF House, and anything else you write to us. You provide these voluntarily so that we can respond to you.
When you send us a form, your browser also tells us which time zone your device is set to. We use it only to make sense of a location you have typed, for example to tell whether “NY” means New York. It is never sent to anyone else, and we make no attempt to find your precise location.
If you apply for LEEF House with a video, your browser may make the video smaller on your own device before sending it. It is then stored on this website's server, in the same private area as your application. Only Jason Allen and Paul Munroe watch it, it is never published or shared, and it is deleted automatically 30 days after the retreat you applied for ends.
This website also uses the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising. What it collects is explained under Advertising measurement, below.
Like most websites, the server that hosts this site may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the time of a visit, for security and reliability.
We use the details you send to reply to you, answer your questions, and help you book a session, train in the method, or bring LEEF to your area. We also measure our advertising, as described below.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not send newsletters or marketing messages unless you ask us to.
When you submit a form, your message is saved on this website's own server so that we keep a record of it, and it is also sent to us by email. Once the email arrives, it is handled by our email provider on our behalf. The saved copy sits in a private, password-protected part of the site that only LEEF can open, and it is never published.
We advertise LEEF House on Facebook and Instagram, and every page of this site loads the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, to measure how well those ads work. When a page loads, the pixel tells Meta which page you viewed, along with technical details such as your IP address and browser, and it sets cookies so that Meta can recognise a later visit. Meta may also receive a scrambled (hashed) form of contact details you type into a form here, which it uses to match the visit to a Facebook or Instagram account. Meta handles all of this under its own privacy policy.
When you send a LEEF House application, the pixel also tells Meta that an application was sent, with a reference number that contains nothing about you.
If you arrive from one of our ads, the link can carry details of the campaign, such as its name and the ad you tapped. This site keeps those details in your browser for up to 30 days, and if you apply for LEEF House, they are saved with your application so that we know which ad brought you. The agency that manages our advertising sees the number of applications, with these campaign details and the date and language of each, but never your name, email address, phone number or answers.
We keep the messages you send for as long as we need them to help you and to keep a record of your enquiry. Application videos are kept only until 30 days after the retreat ends, then deleted automatically. Campaign details saved with an application are kept and deleted along with it. If you would like us to delete your information sooner, just ask and we will.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, reach out through our contact form or on Instagram.
You can limit advertising measurement by blocking third-party cookies or using a content blocker in your browser, and you can manage how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. Doing so does not stop you using this site or sending us a form.
Our practice and this website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in their region.
We take reasonable care to protect the information you share with us. That said, no method of sending information over the internet or storing it is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
We may update this page from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top.
